PUBLIC NOTICE IN TERMS OF SECTION 116 (3) OF THE MFMA (ACT 56 OF 2003)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN in terms of section 116 (3) of the Local Government: Municipal

Finance Act, No. 56 of 2003 that the Cederberg Municipality intends extent the contract relating to the the supply, installation and management of a STS compliant prepayment vending system until the new tender process has been finalized.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN in accordance with Section 21A and Section 21 of the Local

Government Municipal Systems Act 32 of 2000 that –

(a) The local community and other interested persons are invited to submit comments or

representations to the Cederberg Municipality in respect of the proposed contract extension. Such comments or representations must be received by no later than 30 June 2025 via electronic mail on the email address provided below or be delivered to the mailing address provided hereunder.

Comments or representations must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly endorsed “Proposed Extension of Contract CED 26/2021-2022: The supply, installation and management of a STS compliant prepayment vending system and be deposited in Tender Box.

Persons who are physically disabled or who cannot read or write but wish to participate in the process, may visit the Municipal Offices, 2A Voortrekker Street, Clanwilliam, during office hours, where that person will be assisted by the Manager: Supply Chain Management or a person designated by her to transcribe that person’s comments or representations.
