Flood Update: Citrusdal and Surrounding Areas

The situation in Citrusdal and surrounding areas is being closely monitored following severe weather conditions.

- Old Kaapse Weg is closed, with no open roads leading to Citrusdal.
- MR542 (Jan Dissels - Clanwilliam) is closed due to heavy water flow.
- Stranded people at Sewe Oliene farms and Rooi Hoogte farm are safe.
- 4 people stranded at Toyota are safe.
- Over 200 people now receiving humanitarian relief at the Vicky Zimri THUSONG Centre.
- No casualties reported.
- EMS, NSRI, and SAPS on site assisting with rescues and aid delivery.
- Authorities using rubber duck to transport humanitarian aid and rescue people.
- Helicopter may be used if road access isn't possible.

Residents are advised to stay indoors and follow safety instructions. No weather-related incidents reported in other towns. Further updates will be provided as the situation develops.
